• WELTSCHULHAUS: Learning tables for everyone

  With WELTSCHULHAUS, an initiative by S27 – Arts and Education.
  
  The WELTSCHULHAUS learning tables are a multilingual educational programme that serves as a meeting place for young people. Together with highly educated refugees (community teachers), young people can learn in their native language and contribute their own knowledge and wishes to the programme.

  On 14 March, everyone is invited to take part in a unique combination of learning tables designed especially for the Kunstgewerbemuseum, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (Museum of Applied Arts) as part of ‘Mutuogenesis’. In the metamorphic exhibition landscape, the learning tables become fields of knowledge exchange about communal living, learning and producing, and participants contribute to a living social sculpture of togetherness.

  Laugh in Translation: Jokes travel around the world – but do they land? A learning table to test humour from different cultures – with Amine Abdel Mohammed (in English)
  Erinnerungs-Performance (Remembrance-Performance): Every step tells a story. Here, memory movements are shared, and small gestures create a grand performance – with Shora Ashtarani
  Boxen - Stärke aufbauen, nicht Gewalt (Boxing - Building strength, not violence): An opportunity to try out simple self-defence exercises - with Mohamad Belhattab
  Erdölchemie (Petroleum Chemistry): A lecture on the mysterious relationship between hydrogen and carbon – with Shahnaz Mohsini (in Farsi)
  Mathe-Olympiade (Maths Olympics): Here, numbers become allies and, in the end, every puzzle can be solved with simple tricks – with Fadel Aloous, Gerard Kiswend Sida Konseiga and Ziaulhaq Rasoly (in Arabic, French and Farsi)
  Visual Storytelling: Here you will learn how to report on a live event and turn situations into creative social media content – with Shadi Turk (in English)

  Design and Art in Harm Reduction and Help for Substance Users

  A Network of practitioners in Social Work, Art, Design and Public Space Invention meets within the ‘Mutuogenesis’ exhibition and exchanges on current researches practices and projects. The Design-Team from Fixpunkt Kotti presents the weekly co-creation classes, a public space design concept and the Syringe Collection project PEER Project Kreuzberg (whose equipment is part of the exhibition). Kiosk of Solidarity and Drogennotdienst talk about the NIÖR-research (Nachbarschaftskonflikte im öffentlichen Raum / Neighbourhood-Conflicts in Public Space).
  Practitioners from other backgrounds are cordially invited to join the exchange.
  Walk-ins are welcome.
