About
Mutuogenesis is based on Jerszy Seymour's collaboration with young people who, after fleeing their homes and being displaced, find a supportive environment for their stabilisation and education at Berlin’s cultural centre ‘Schlesische27’, where they prepare for vocational training through artistic workshops.
Over the course of a year, Jerszy Seymour, together with the young international community of Schlesische27 and invited artists, designers and activists, has tested forms of learning and producing in a community with social and ecological justice at its core. Collaborative productions, lectures, happenings and performances at the “Lucky Garage” in Berlin-Neukölln and at the Kunstgewerbemuseum – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin have created occasions for visitors to immerse themselves in a mutualistic environment and take part in a personal and communal mutation.
